Welcome to the archive for DJS Sims! The site has been restored to how it appeared in 2008 (yikes) after I recently discovered the files all still existed, and all content is being provided for those who still play the Sims 1, 2 or 3. Please note that no support is being given for anything, but everything should still work. Enjoy! (Wondering where jfade is now? Check out

| Leaf Pile Fix | |
| Creator: jfade Date: September 3, 2008 Description: For no good reason that I can figure out, in Apartment Life, if you tell a Sim to rake leaves, they will stop at one pile instead of continuing with more piles if they aren't having motive failure issues. The only thing that I can figure out is that they stopped this to prevent clash with the gardener's AI, but that's still a stupid reason because they could've just ADDED A TEST to make sure the sim isn't a gardener before pushing more leaf raking! So I did precisely that. This restores pre-AL behavior for making sims continuously rake leaves UNLESS they are gardeners.
Lazy EA.

| Plant Sim Fix | |
| Creator: jfade Date: September 1, 2008 Description: With Apartment Life, EA changed the "Spray - Should Become Plantman?" BHAV in the orchard trees but NOT in the garden plots. This is a problem to begin with, but was made worse by the fact that the change was a bad one. It allowed YAs and NPC Gardeners to become plant Sims, something that was specifically disallowed before, and for good reason.
This hack reverts the change and also adds a fix to reset the "spray count" to zero once a Sim becomes a plant sim, solving the problem of them becoming immediately eligible for plant sim-ism again once cured.
If you already use the no chance of plant sim or only some chance of plant sim hacks, you do not need to use this hack as the fix is already included.

| Tan Fix for Oddly Shaped Meshes | |
| Creator: jfade Date: September 1, 2008 Description: If you use any different body shape meshes in your game, you may have noticed that some of these meshes have blotches on them when the Sim using them gets tanned. This is a small override file that replaces the tan overlay, which is a big semi-transparent brown blob that covers only a certain area of the Sim, and makes it so the big brown blob will cover ALL of a Sim's possible skin area, thus neutralizing the problem. Yay!

| No "Do Chores" On Community Lots | |
| Creator: jfade Date: September 1, 2008 Description: Hey... who's that wierd mechanical man mopping up puddles and cleaning up tables? That's right, if a Servo robot shows up on a community lot as a visitor he will start autonomously doing chores. This fixes that problem by making it so that Servo will not do chores while on a community lot.
